Adults with IDD eventually age out of the school system, and the associated resources available

As they get older, these adults and their families are sometimes left without support, and often aren't given the chance to fully focus on themselves and bettering their lives in the face of this isolation. Due to this, many adults with IDD and their families find themselves in a similar situation like the following:

  • Lack of time to rest and relax
  • An overwhelming amount of time isolated at home
  • An absence of a surrounding support network
  • Without a community of like-minded peers

M.O.R.E. Possibilities works together with each participant and each family as they take new and important steps forward

Behind each individual is an entire family, and M.O.R.E.'s programs are designed with this specific "Whole Person and Whole Family" focus in mind. We will work side by side with each adult in their self development and support the surrounding family in their journey as well. Through our innovative programs, mentoring opportunities and supportive community M.O.R.E.'s hope is to provide well-rounded self development and growth for all high functioning adults regardless of the diagnosis, at no cost to the participant or their family.

M.O.R.E. Possibilities is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit.

All M.O.R.E. Possibilities programs are provided at NO COST to participants and their families.

M.O.R.E. Possibilities Programs run similarly to the school-year calendar, running most of the year with a one-month break during July, a one-week Thanksgiving Break, a two-week Winter Break in December, and a one-week Spring Break in March. Additionally, programs may not run on public holidays. Please visit our calendar page for specific dates.

Parent/caregivers have the option to stay and join our program activities, or can leave throughout the day if they would like and return at pick-up time.

If needed, we advise that you reach out to M.O.R.E. Possibilities staff members through their specific emails found on the "Our Team" page.

Many of our participants and staff members adhere to special dietary requirements, and we make a conscious effort to ensure everyone can be their healthiest self. We do not allow the sharing of food, and encourage respect in an open dialogue about everybody's unique dietary needs.

We understand that some participants may exhibit certain behaviors, and discuss this with their parents/caregivers during the on-boarding process. In situations like these, we have a specially designed 'Calming Center' at our location as an area for a participants to step away if they feel too overwhelmed by strong emotions.

A parent/caregiver may be as involved as they would like to! They can act as a volunteer and assist in our STRIVE program, or participate in our caregiver program, the VILLAGE program (launching soon!).  Please refer to the Get Involved Tab.
